🔎 The Pacific Breaks Out

July 11, 2025

📊 Daily ETF Overview

More countries around the world are delivering sizable returns to investors.

That’s a rare shift. For years, capital has flocked to the United States and its growth companies in search of wealth.

Now we’re seeing money flow back into Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific. The Pacific region, in particular, is completing a long-term breakout.

The Vanguard Pacific ETF ($VPL) is trading at all-time highs, adjusted for dividends.

When we look at individual countries, the outlook is clearly constructive for many of these economies.

Australia ($EWA) is in the process of breaking out to all-time highs on a dividend-adjusted basis.

Singapore ($EWS) is accelerating higher and hasn’t looked back, while U.S. markets are only now reaching new highs.

Japan ($EWJ), on a price basis, is breaking out of a multi-decade base to fresh all-time highs.

This is an economy that struggled to deliver returns for decades and is finally waking up.

South Korea ($EWY) is pushing to new 52-week highs and has gone nearly vertical in recent weeks.

Even by focusing on just this subset of international markets, it’s clear that the outlook for global stocks outside the United States remains strongly bullish.
